You know last week when I said about my winter coat? Well, of course, the temperature dropped and yesterday I reluctantly got out my North Face down coat. This coat has to be one of my best winter purchases in Sweden. It’s lovely and toasty-warm inside it. On the other hand, this year I made it until December before getting this coat out, and that is something of a victory. It’s the end of November and this week’s What I Wore Wednesday still features my wool winter coat – no thick down coat so far. (Of course, I realise that simply by typing these words, I am bringing on a cold spell immediately – sorry.) But I’m so pleased that the winter is proving so mild so far. It’s a mess; a scarecrow-like mess. You don’t want to see it, believe me. I bought this jacket last week and just love it. It looks great with a pencil skirt (like today) and also matches well with jeans. It’s from Gina Tricot, a shop I don’t tend to go intoRead More
I think I’ve discovered the answer to how to keep your husband happy and it’s a simple solution. A few weeks ago I spotted a gorgeous pair of ponyskin ankle boots with a thin, think heel and I fell for them. However, they were Skr 2,500. For a pair of boots that are not likely to get a huge amount of use over the Swedish winter. But they were gorgeous. Have I mentioned that they were gorgeous? Well, they were. But then yesterday, I found theseRead More
The wedding was beautiful, as all weddings are, but this one was truly, stunningly beautiful. And I’m glad that I went with accessorising my wedding outfit, because details were the name of the game. The venue was decorated with flowers everywhere: trailing down from pillars, wrapped around handrails and on every table.
