Normally, I would wrap up the Christmas presents while enjoying a little drink and listening to Christmas music. This first batch of presents needed to be fixed asap though and I’ve yet to create our Christmas music playlist for this year (I’m in the process of “upgrading” it, so to speak), so I wrapped them while listening to episodes of the Serial podcast. I’m a little fussy about Christmas wrapping and like to have a theme for the year. This year I’m going for justRead More
This week we decided to be adventurous in the kitchen – for us, anyway – by making gluten-free pizza dough from scratch, which I thought would be especially fun as O was home with me. The thought of kneading the dough for 10 minutes with O helping filled me with dread, until I remembered that I have a dough hook on my KitchenAid. As I was short on time, I did not look up if I needed to adjust the recipe when using the dough hook andRead More
When I sat down to write this August monthly round-up post, I simply could not remember what we had actually done this month, apart from return from holiday. Seriously, August has been a blur. We must have done some fun and exciting things? You could call it partly paleo, I suppose. I have found a few paleo favourites that I cook when I amRead More
June has been something of a mixed month for us with celebrations, CSS code, cakes, cycling and sickness. I started the month with a facial and the good intention of sticking to a skincare regime (just don’t ask if I really have stuck to this – I blame the pox…) I also started getting ready for the Color Me Rad run in Stockholm and completed the race (but not in the best of times).
Tomorrow is my birthday (something which seems to be increasingly irrelevant since having the boys), so I’ve been doing a little cake baking. I’ve already done a “practice run” and baked a batch of paleo muffins last week with the boys (what? You don’t do that? Just me then?). As it is coming up to holiday time and since I want to get a little better with what I’m eating, but certainly don’t want to give up on all cakes and good things, I decidedRead More
