I’ve decided that it’s time to say goodbye to English Mamma but not to blogging. I am starting afresh in a new guise: The Kat Edit. There will be more lifestyle and less of the boys. O has now turned seven (can you believe it?), so it feels like time for them to have a little more privacy. I’m going to keep on doing much the same as before, but with fewer specifics about the boys. So please join me on my new adventure.
I think it is fair to say that Instagram has really taken off in a big way in the past year. And I expect that that growth will only continue in 2016. According to the stats, there are now more than 400 million active users on Instagram. Active users! And 75% of Instagram users visit it daily. But what is the secret to Instagram growth? What is the best way to be part of this? The secret to Instagram growth I made a conscious effort atRead More
Happy New Year! I’ve been sitting here thinking a lot about my goals for 2016, especially my blogging goals for 2016. My main blogging goal is to actually blog. Minutes pass and suddenly they’ve become hours. Hours pass and then the day is gone. Likewise, days turn rapidly into weeks. And before you know it, the month has gone by. I didn’t plan on taking time off; it just happened. I knew that it would be challenging to try to blog during July but I had not suspected it would be so hard during June as well. This has been the summer of “big trips” – first, two weeks or so in England and Wales,Read More
My recent discovery of Creative Market has actually coincided with the site reaching its 1,000,000th member, although I cannot claim any credit for this success, other than telling people about the site. The site is a brilliant one-stop-shop for photos, website templates, fonts and blog themes. I’ve used it for both fonts and photos for this blog and I’ve also downloaded a fantastic CV template to use. An added bonus with Creative Market is that you can download six items for free each week. And there areRead More
