July was a bit of a whistlestop month, in that I blinked and it was over. Early in the month, I spent the weekend in southern Sweden with Husband and the boys. They stayed on for the best part of a week, leaving me with five nights child- (and husband-) free in Stockholm. I had a massage, went training, had a facial and got a gel nail pedicure. The day after they came back up to Stockholm, we hit the airport for two weeks in the UK. There was so much new going on and I want to share some of my favourite things from the month.
♥ Bullet journal: I love the Bullet Journal system, but I’ve just been jotting notes down in my notebook, not thinking about what it looks like. Now I’ve been inspired by some of the fabulous videos I’ve seen on YouTube (check out A Paperella Story or Pixel Pearls). I want to make it a whole lot prettier than before. I’m excited to get started on making it look less boring than this…
♥ Pilot Frixion ball pens: I have fallen in love with these erasable pens and am growing my collection steadily. Who wouldn’t love a pen that you can rub out? If you make a mistake, you just use the little pad on the end of the pen to rub away the ink. Genius!
♥ New hair colour: I have been contemplating changing my hair colour for a while now, umm’ing and ahh’ing over a BIG change. I even asked my hairdresser what he thought about taking it grey. Unfortunately that would have meant six months of working on it and would most likely have destroyed it. Change a plan there, then. I then considered a pinky blonde – more pink than strawberry blonde. In the end though, I went for copper. And I love it.
♥ Cream lace dress from Zara and H&M army shirt: I haven’t really done too much sales shopping this summer but I did pick up this lovely cream lace dress at Zara. I’m pretty pleased with it, although it is a little on the short side. I love it especially with this army green jacket from H&M. This really is a great buy. It goes with so many outfits and is perfect to throw on for the chilly summer mornings and late evenings.
♥ Boomerang app: We have had so much fun with this app, especially while on holiday. There will definitely be more of these little vids.
♥ Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair face mask: This made the boys laugh so much and tell me I looked like a knight wearing a helmet. It was worth it though for how much skin felt afterwards. And there are still another two in the packet – bonus! (If you want a giggle, head over to Instagram and you can see how crazy it looks on.)
